Transgender According To Pap

I don't know Victor Pap other than that he is on the Town Council in Weymouth. Since I have started this blog, I generally avoid singling anyone out for criticism that doesn't directly relate to a particular Weymouth issue. I am far from any kind of expert on National and World politics or events and if I do happen to weigh in on a topic,I make sure I do at least a marginal amount of research in order to sound somewhat respectable and intelligent, which, I might add, can be allot of work.

Victor Pap recently announced that he would run for another term as Town Council for the First District, which is North Weymouth. He announced he had been campaigning since February, which was the first I had heard of it, and soon after he wrote a commentary that appeared in the Patriot Ledger. Now since I can't have you guess on the subject matter seeing as I have given it away in the title of this article, I must say that I would have thought something pertinant to Weymouth might have been in the offing. At least, I would hope, Mr. Pap would have sounded a bit more informed on the subject matter.

As it turns out he writes an opinion on a subject that he not only did not research in the least, but was so far off the mark that I was embarrassed for him. The article also gives us a clue as to his intelligence and soundness of mind, and I for one will not vote for him, despite the fact that he is running unopposed. If I was still living in North Weymouth I would actually consider running against him. The commenters to the article, although not many, were all much more educated on the subject than Mr. Pap and rightfully took him to task.

I also must add that I am not an expert on the transgender bill that is being discussed on Beacon Hill and therefore would not even attempt to write an opinion on it. I will say that I do not think we need a law of this type which, I'm embarrassed to admit, goes along with Mr. Pap's opinion, only for completely different and far more intelligent reasons.
